Haha! Bal, one of the communities most respected mappers just has to make like
a bunch of other people and release a map that plays absolutely bad... This
level looks great, as far as texturing and lighting go (always a plus Bal) But
we all know for sure that this map just doesn't play well at all.
It's ... keep reading

This last map by Bal is a farewell-map of his days in Q3-mapping, and
furthermore is an outstanding effort, albeit his last. What we have here is
an industrial station, using Rorshach's textures, set in space with great
detail. The general flow of the map and the great weapon placement are what
make this ... keep reading

Another DM-void map for 3 to chaotic-amounts of players, this time by Benoit
Stordeur, also known as Bal. The map is not
recommended for bots.
The good points? Let us start with the design. This map is graphically well
done and runs fast. It has solid architecture based on triangle-shapes which
are tex ... keep reading

OMG! This is an excellent map. The connectivity and game flow are perfect for 1on1 and small FFA games. The aesthetic is very smooth, an apt combination of pitted blue steel and concrete texturing, nice detailing, beautiful lighting and well used sound effects. Weapon and item positioning are perfectly balanc ... keep reading

One of those all too rare stand out maps. Architecture, texturing, detailing, game play, flow, all delivered in one beautifully crafted, very addictive level. Set on a rusting old crate of a space ship/station with lots of weapons and great game flow, this maps is the goods. The thick atmosphere is greatly en ... keep reading

A beautifully connect level with great gameplay, architecture, lighting and a simple texture set that is not
distracting. Great use of the fans as bounce pads and the unusual sky gives a nice finishing touch. 1on1 is damn fine, with a diverse range of gameplay happening, but a 3 player match was more fun. ... keep reading

An arena style tech base with a nice use of rocks to define the perimeter and exterior areas. This is a very cool DM map with great gameflow. The niggling points are the lack of clip brushes around the rocks and the overall darkness of the map. Its only a touch too dark and the dimness certainly adds to the a ... keep reading
