A freezy themed level with some nice details: icicles, snow and ice. The ice is
slippery to touch and as such becomes a hazard to be aware of. Textures are
very realistic. The metal finish adds a lot to the cold feel of the
level.
The map has well placed items, especially MegaHealth, that is near a larg ... keep reading

Devilish (storm3tourney8) was created for the first
Maverick Mapping Competition
held in the winter of 2009. Amongst some tough competition with maps like
Focal Point
and Substation 11,
destiny called for this map to achieve first place. Since then it has been
added to Quake Live in Premium Pak 2, so I ... keep reading

I don't think I've ever played a map by StormShadow before, so this was quite a
new experience. And a damn good experience at that.
The map wears a gothic outfit, which comes across to me as somewhat DOOM style.
A high percentage of broken, dirty brick surfaces (including some nice pattern
work) and a s ... keep reading

Cajun Hell by Stormshadow is a FFA/Tourney/TDM map optimised
for use with Cpma.
Originally the map was created for the Tikidomain
mapping challenge, but was not submitted. Within the rules of the
competition, mappers were only allowed the use of under ten custom textures,
and there were some good ... keep reading

This tech/industrial theme Tourney map from StormShadow is a real belter of a
map! Item placement is excellent, making game-play very enjoyable. Control of
the MH/YA is a clincher with this one. A real fun Tourney map! A small FFA
was good fun also but no more than 4 players.
The author has made great u ... keep reading

In this heavily engineered tourney map, StormShadow draws on not one, but two
of Rorsach's HeadHunter texture sets. The combination of grubby hazard chevrons and machine parts renders the map
like a gigantic garage for servicing old war machines, a funky style commonly found at
the rustier end of the indus ... keep reading

A very nice, small ffa/tourney level with custom textures (HFX's Evil7) and a very cool Crow Model that is used to add that extra little touch across the top of the walls.
Connectivity is excellent, and the winding corridors really facilitate a quick, free flowing style. Item placement is top notch with th ... keep reading

BtR is a level with good custom texturing and adequate lighting. Most of the map is connected much like q3dm7, with two or three openings leading to other well-defined rooms of the map. There are several frame based jumps that may irritate players that have lower end machines playing on servers that do not a ... keep reading
