Excellent show of skills here, there is a few down sides to this map, but they are far out weighed by the good stuff! starting with the bad (of course) The map has some minor texture misalignments, and some corridors are quite tight, dont be using those rockets! The flow of the map seems to be broken up by the random holes in the corridors floors, which is due to bounce pads and/or the need for vertical fighting. On to the good. Texturing is very constant giving a very futuristic tech theme. The very clean and aesthetically pleasing brush work accentuates the texturing and also pushes the tech theme. The texturing is mostly blue and white, broken up by yellow trimming, which, as you can imagine, looks damn fine!

Theres also a pretty cool looking teleporter model in here, which also adds a hint of goth, maybe a little out of place but looks Kool none the less. A very nice map by wviperw

Get it while its hot!

negative spin? I'd say given the last line of the review, that he quite likes it. It's really not that negative a review.

BTW, nice map, great gameplay, I just never really liked the look or the 2d architecture. But hey, you've already heard me complain about that several times before :)

Top-shelf wviperw, you're getting better with each release.

I have to agree with xfoo.

The comments about the tight hallways doesn't make sense to me. I always thought that would enhance gameplay (if used correctly..which here it most definately was) instead of hinder it. Apparently the reviewer would be happier with a pretty box with no obstacles so as to not interfere with his haphazard rocket launcher use.

StormShadow - See that nice "CPM" up above, in the area where you put gametype? If a map is designed for CTF, you'd expect the reviewer to consider that. If a map is made for CPM I'd expect no different.

The negative half (HALF!) of the review concentrates on the gameplay/layout... which makes absolutley no sense to me, as the gameplay is the best part of this map. The "positive" half concentrates on the textures - where are the gameplay comments? Did you even play this against a human? Let alone bots?

It's obvious the reviewer doesn't know what he's talking about. I'd rather have fewer updates with better reviews on LvL (we need TBH back).

BTW, the review of shad3dm1 is awesome, he's so positive it makes me want to get the map. The negative spin on this review is disheartening. Heck, i'd blame that for the low number of downloads off LvL.

xfoo - maps are reviewed for the general public, not the 2% of ppl who play cpma :P

Regardless, very good map, great fast paced vertical action... lots of fun for tourney play. GJ vipes :)

Those "random holes" are actually ways to drop down onto the mega. Those "tight corridors" are called choke zones, put in strategic places. It's a good thing you didn't mention the trick jumps, or that it plays fricken amazing in cpma.... those are the unimportant things right?

A great map. If all mappers put in this amount of effort to perfect gameplay I would be one happy person.
