Shaman&Dragon by acid is a map created and optimised for use with CPMA. Designed for tourney and TDM (2v2 in my opinion) this map shines for the competitor at heart. The first thing that struck me about this map was the connectivity is so outstanding. This linked with the careful attention to detail with how the items are placed allows for a lot of different strategical approaches to taking your opponent completely off guard. There are many different options of trick jumps included. One of which is the most amazing that I've ever seen in a map. It goes from the bottom room with the teleporter to the MH up above, and I mean way above. Weapons included are 2 SG's, 2 RL's, a GL and an LG. Quad, YA, RA, and MH are also included. Bots play the map fiercely which always offers it own rewards for the offline players. Textured in a tech theme, the map looks outstanding.

If your looking for something fun to add to your map collections, that will keep you wanting to come back for more, I recommend you download this puppy =)

the trickjumps were alot better in the many many many alpha/betas i played :

it feels too forced-specific now, before it was very fluid

works for me in 1v1 :D

haven't played against a human yet, but my initial observations are:

-scale is MUCH better than when I was playing the alphas/betas. Item placement in general is also a lot better.

-however, you can run RA->MH quite easily by dropping down the chute next to RA and telejumping over the gap to MH.

-I didn't like the forced little trickjumps you added in by putting pieces of brush sticking out from the wall (e.g. - double ramp to mega). It feels to cheap, and ruins flow in places. Sometimes its *good* to not allow a player to get from point A to point B. Maybe its different w/ human players and 2v2, but I doubt it.

-I actually thought the texturing was pretty cool... but thats just me. :)

the map is great. dont argue about the looks, they are nice. i played this map 2v2 several times and had great games everytime. the layout is hiqual and in times of map-configs complaints about item layout is pointless.
