Hipertrofia by ShadoW, a Tourney or small DM map which he made in inspiration of the recent Q3 Speedmapping events. The mappers goal was to complete a playable map in under 24 hours. He ended up making this in 14 hours. A lot of mappers these days could not make a map like this in a year.

ShadoW says that he dug into his archives for the textures used, and the look of the map is very attractive with a fine assortment of them. I can tell that there are parts of this map that shows a resemblance to areas in some of ShadoW other maps, but everything lines up so well that you would not even be able to tell.

The layout plays very solid and it is pretty addictive. The bots play well. It may have been made quick-style, but you would not be able to tell the difference. I'm pretty amazed by it personally. It is a definite download.

Nice small map that plays well against bots and is fun to play for quite some time. The designs are quite interesting, though there are a few areas with stunning geometry next to areas where something "more" could be expected. Note this "whining" on a high level, so basically the design is still quite up there.

Visually i'd be hard pressed to find a better map. ShadoWs mapping experience has really shone through in terms of aesthetics for his last few maps, abandoning the grimey and macabre look of earlier work for a clean, light and refined look. The speed in which the map was made shows in its construction and this is reflected in the low score it has received. Essentially a circuitous map that will see running of the ya/mh (&quad in ffa) with mh overlooking the arena from a small upper area and the lightning gun tucked away in a small lower area. Look to his previous work "Simple Brushes" for a great combination of look and layout.
