Dripping with atmosphere, connectivity and rich game play. This is about as good as it gets. The visuals are strong, yet not overdone or distracting. The item placement and balance seems spot-on and you are left wanting to play another round. ~~Sadly there is minor issue with a missing texture, but it is best to look past this.~~ See update below for details.

Thick vertical bars are used to block a players access at a few points but still allow a camper to be shot at. The vertical bars could have been moved to outside walls with a view of the skybox. This would have kept the strong aesthetic they bring to the level and increased the connectivity a little more.

Bots seem to have no issue at all, but do yourself a favour and try to find some people to play this release against.

Update: The initial release had a missing texture. This has now been corrected. (28.Apr.2009)

Again - another complete surprise that this made it to Quake Live. And again i am pleased because gameplay is great - but given the spate of choices available that is quite an achievement - and a deserving one nonetheless

IMO, you can't compare those maps and say one is better than another in general - they are totally different in their construction. I agree that Battleforged is an awesome map and I enjoy it the most in 2on2 TDM. Then again I got to say that I'd prefer Aerowalk and Blood Run over this map in duel although Battleforged is pretty decent for duel aswell.

This is definetely one of the best maps anyone can download for this game, even better than Blood Run and Aerowalk. It has excellent connectivity, great gameplay, and solid visuals. It`s no wonder it`s now in Quake Live. I got the opportunity to duel a few people on this map during the free premium event.

Click the download button, you will not regret it one bit.

Very nice release Phantazm. All the final adjustments you made before finalizing it was spot on. With the extra ammo you added along with everything else I have to say it's a very kick azz map to play. Replay value for me is around a 8. This is a keeper. Keep up the great work.
