...and there's some truth to that. However, the abundant armor on the lower level combined with ample health can allow a crafty player to ascend to the top, collecting more guns as they go.
At the lowest level are merely the SG and, laughably, the GL. Players must ascend the platforms in a clockwise path, reaching the RL, Plasma, and finally the RG, picking up health and armor sharts along the way after being targeted by the other player. To ease the travel, intermediate levels have curbs to keep players safely in the game.
At the topmost level, the rail sits at the far end and nearly opposite of a single 50 health. Between them is an open pathway allowing players on the lower levels a bit of a target. But there's just not enough health at the top for a player to stay up there indefinitely and guard the rail. Eventually they're worn down and have to escape down for supplies.
This map gave us a LOT of laughs. The final score of 8-6 took nearly 3k of damage by each player.
A surprising spin on a floater that seems like it shouldn't work but somehow does. A forgotten gem!
