However, the unforgivable sin here, and after looking at other maps, this seems to be a trait of redfella, is the incredibly sparse allocation of weapons. We've played it twice and each round was nearly ten minutes. We agreed that aside from the obvious RA, most of the time we spent just hunting down the weapons.
It's never fun when you feel like you're fighting the map (or author) as much as your opponent.
Fortunately we both were equally unfamiliar. If one of us really knew the layout the other person would've never stood a chance.
Having said that, it simply wasn't fun enough to warrant playing more, and I'm surprised folks haven't had more feedback about this, and the author's penchant for miserly approach to weapons/items.
This map actually took a couple different forms as it was intially a map for Tenebrae and then another q3 mod engine. Though I never finsihed the map for either of those projects and the file sat dormant on my machine for several years. Being that I wanted to beef up my demo reel (just to do it I guess), I figured I'd finish off this bad boy.
For me, this map is the best I've designed gameplay wise, so I hope those who download it enjoy it! I put a lot of consideration into the layout. Hopefully that will show for those who play it. :)
