A throwback to the heydays of QuakeWorld, complete with textures from the original Quake 1 release UltraViolence by Escher. This conversion is as faithful as can be while still being suitable for Quake 3 Arena. The only real changes from the original are the level scale and a magic Armour Shard that awards 25 Health (due to the missing Green Armour).

For those that do not know the original, this is a tight, fast Tourney or 3 player DM release in an Egyptian theme that is quick to learn. What pushes this map from basic is the perfect item position and simple, but very effective layout. In the hands of a pro, the layout falls into place and allows for some very impressive moves.

UltraViolence is ideal for Tourney games up against a human. With bots, their patterns can be a quick to pick up but can still be very enjoyable, especially if you are trying to improve your skills for the next real match.

A total blast. Well worth checking out.
